About the Fundraiser

Portland Center Stage is the largest theater company in Portland, Oregon. As Portland’s Hotel to the Arts, we have a special relationship and bond with our beloved downtown Theatre, and the community that they have been at the heart of for 35 years. It’s a hard time to be in the Theatre business, and in May 2025, Portland Center Stage announced an ambitious fundraising campaign to keep their doors open and ensure the launch of their 2025/2026 season. You can read more about their struggle and perseverance here.

Just a five minute walk from the theatre, The Mark Spencer Hotel has been proud to be the Home away from Home for hundreds of PCS’s artists over the years. They are a part of our story and we are standing with them in this difficult time. Come and see what makes Portland Center Stage so truly special.

What’s in a name? For some people — everything. A new, exciting spin on an old classic, this adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s satire sparkles with wit and whimsy. To become the gentlemen they believe they’re meant to be, Jack and Algernon must live double lives. Country mice and city mice collide in this comedy that will woo you from the very start!

“The rare work of art that achieves perfection on its own terms.” - The New York Times
